Wadsworth Cable TelevisionWCTV is a full service community access facility. Operations include three access channels; Public, Educational and Government, and are seen on the city's own cable system. WCTV offers the community the chance to learn every aspect of video production. From camera to studio production. WCTV's facilities and equipment are available for the community to use to produce their own program. All the training is provided by the studio staff. All services and equipment use are FREE. Over 1,000 programs are produced by citizens each year which provide the city with nearly 10,000 hours of local programming. WCTV producers have won 10 national and 11 regional video competitions and "Clappers" are awarded to the 12 best local programs for the year. Over 250 volunteers produce their own programs; some yearly, monthly or weekly. Several producers have received recognition for producing over 100 of their own programs. The manager of WCTV is John Madding and can be reached by calling 330-336-7919. Johanna Perrino is the studio's Facilitator/Trainer. Three part-time high school and college students make up the rest of the staff. WCTV is continually looking for volunteers to help others or produce programs themselves. If you have an idea for a show, just give us a call. |
